Giethoorn is located in the De Wieden nature reserve and is part of the Weerribben-Wieden National Park, an enormous lake and swamp area in the ‘Kop van Overijssel’.
You can enjoy hiking and cycling in Giethoorn and the surrounding area, but the best thing is of course from the water. You experience nature very close by. You feel the movements of the water, you smell the plants and flowers and see birds from eye level. And that in a vast swamp area with reed beds, quaking bogs, meadows and swamp forest. It is really enjoyable here.
Your home away from home
A special overnight stay in the heart of Giethoorn on the village canal, within walking distance of all facilities. Sleep well in a comfortable king-size bed from which you can watch movies on a large projection screen in the evening. The residence has large patio doors to the courtyard.
