Enjoy a unique stay in the heart of Giethoorn on the village canal. Our accommodation is entirely independent and private, located within walking distance of all facilities, yet offering the tranquility you seek.
This spacious 100m2 residence is completely private, self-sufficient, and physically and technically independent from the main house. The entire accommodation features comfortable underfloor heating powered by its own dedicated sustainable energy system. You can sleep in a nice king-size bed from where you can also watch movies on a large 3-meter projection screen equipped with Netflix & other streaming services. The residence has its own private entrance and a free parking space in the yard. The location is barrier-free and fully accessible for wheelchair users, including the toilet and shower facilities. There is a spacious kitchen with a dining table, coffee maker, dishwasher, stove, microwave oven, and a large refrigerator. The kitchen area also includes a sitting area with two single beds and a TV. To guarantee your maximum privacy, we operate on a self-service basis; we do not serve breakfast and there is no mid-stay housekeeping, allowing you to enjoy your own rhythm. Bed linen is included and made upon arrival, and enough towels are provided. All basic products are available for a seamless start, including coffee beans, tea, dishwasher cubes, cleaning products, soap, shampoo, toilet paper, oil, and spices.
or your entertainment, we provide a playable western guitar, books, and games, as well as a baby cot, high chair, and changing mat for families. Guests have exclusive access to a free 2-person canoe to explore the canals, and there is an option to rent a boat throughout the day. The private Spa and Jacuzzi room can optionally be booked for an additional fee of 50 Euro for the first day and 20 Euro for each subsequent day, which includes the use of bathrobes, hammam towels, and slippers. Please note that Gieters Gruttertje has a maximum capacity of 4 people due to permit and insurance regulations. This is a peaceful retreat intended for those seeking tranquility, and we kindly ask that no noisy groups or parties occupy the space. During the day, quiet visits are possible within the accommodation.
